Every day
Project memory
The agent keeps its own notes about each project: how to run it, what tends to break, decisions you took together, where the important files are. It writes them during a session and reads them at the start of the next one — so you do not explain the same things twice.
Where§
~/lampson/memory/<project>/*.md — outside your repository, one folder per project. Plain Markdown you can open in any editor.
Reading and editing§
/memoryin the terminal lists the notes;/memory <name>shows one.- In the web UI, Memoria in the left panel — it opens by itself when there is something to show. Edit in place.
- Tell the agent: "forget the note about the old database" or "remember that tests need the
.env.testfile".
What goes there§
Things that are not obvious from the code: the command that actually starts the dev server, the env var the tests need, the reason a strange workaround exists. Not the code structure — the agent can read that.
AGENTS.md and skills§
If your project has an AGENTS.md at the root, its content is part of the agent's instructions every session — the place for rules you want every contributor's agent to follow. For procedures ("how we release", "how to add a migration") use a skill.
